Man gets dragged out of his car and beaten by 8 white males. The news clip said his head was stomped on the curb. This story practically got nil coverage, maybe a 30 second spot on the news. Apparently Utah'ns are more worried about polygamous sects in TX than they are about hate crimes in their own state. FYI this has happened here before.

As many traders were anticipating the Euro to test the 1.60 mark, the US Dollar had other plans. Reasons for the Dollar rally run rampant as analysts needing a story speculated that Citigroup’s $5.1 Billion Loss ($16 Billion in Trading Write Downs), and cutting another 9,000 jobs was a relief rally… Go Figure!
CBC to cut Calgary Newsworld unit, hire more Alberta reporters (CBC Edmonton)

CBC News is shutting down the Calgary unit of its 24-hour Newsworld television service as of the end of May, and introducing additional positions for newsgathering, the public broadcaster said Thursday.
